A certified fire watch for every hot work job. So your teams can weld, grind and cut safely, and your work permit is in order.
For welding, grinding, cutting and other work involving sparks or open flames, the work permit often requires a fire watch. Someone who is busy working cannot see what happens behind them. Our fire watch can: they guard the zone, keep the extinguishing equipment at hand and intervene immediately if a fire starts.
After the work, they stay on site for the post-work check, for as long as the permit requires. A smouldering fire often starts only later, including behind walls, under insulation or on a lower level.
Inspecting the work zone, removing or covering flammable materials and shielding openings to other areas.
Setting up and checking extinguishers, fire hose and fire blanket before work starts.
Continuously monitoring sparks, heat and smoke, including on the other side of walls and floors.
Extinguishing an incipient fire, raising the alarm and evacuating the zone according to site procedure.
Staying after the work and checking the zone again, for as long as the permit requires.
Recording times, checks and any incidents, so you can present everything to the site or insurer.
For chemical sites, contractors, terminals and shipyards.
